The S.T.E.P. program

The Specialized Training & Education Program (STEP) - is a year-round program designed to aggressively train and prepare high school and undergraduate students who have an interest in police, fire, other public safety careers, as well as related careers in the private and corporate sectors. The program is a collaborative initiative that works to certify and prepare students for a career. The STEP program equips the student with necessary job skills, and offers job placements as well. Through this program, participants will receive:
Training/Skills- they will receive hands-on training as well as learn workforce skills such as time management, communications skills, critical thinking skills, judgment skills and safety concepts.
Access to Resources- Students will be exposed to various resources as it relates, such as access to equipment and hands on training.
Mentoring /Guidance- Our foundation will provide counselors who will be available to participants of the STEP program. These counselors will help students during the program and aid in the job-placement process.
Job Placement-After a student has successfully completed the requirements of the STEP program they will receive opportunities within their anticipated careers.
